Labuan New Office
Cheng & Co Group has announced their new branch in Labuan to accommodate and meet the needs of local in the island.
Plans to develop operations in Labuan were initiated by Dato’ Dr. Chua Hock Hoo, the Co-founder and Executive Chairman for Cheng & Co Group. The new office will be the Cheng & Co Group’s 16th office. Labuan office will offer its clients in all services provided by Cheng & Co Group.
This new office is the notable landmark at the Federal Territory’s financial and development zone. It is a strong tribute of the firm’s commitment to prepare for its journey and support for SME and big companies in the northwest coast of Borneo in their building of business eminence.
“Cheng & CO Group has decided to open a new branch in Labuan as we have identified the opportunities arising from the economic development in the island. It represents the strategic expansion of the firm brand in Labuan.”, said Dato’ Dr. Chua.

The Labuan branch was successfully launch on 6th April 2021 with the present of guests of honor YB Datuk Wong Kii Yii, President of the Labuan Chinese Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Arthur Kong, the Vice President of the LCCC, Mr. Vicky Huong, the current President of JCI Labuan. This marks an important step towards realising the firm goals – the Firm of the Future.
The new office is expected to generate sales of 1 million Ringgit for its first year of operation. It will primarily handle taxation, accounting and secretarial cases in addition to other ad-hoc innovative solution to meet the local business needs.
The newly launched office is part of the business strategy at this challenging period of economic transformation in Malaysia. This will create both challenges and opportunities for businesses.
