TGS Lime Tree And Cheng & Co Set To Collaborate
In November 2016 TGS Global organized their global annual conference at the Grand Hyatt in Kuala Lumpur. The global conference was hosted by Cheng & Co who just became member of TGS Global. During the conference, we met with Professor Dato’ Dr Chua Hock Hoo for the first time.
Needless to say, the inspiring conference was perfectly organised by TGS Global and Professor Dato’ Dr Chua’s Cheng & Co. This June we had the pleasure to welcome Professor Dato’ Dr Chua at our TGS lime tree office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
During our session, we explored the possibilities of working more closely together. The tax advisors of TGS lime tree have a lot of experience with serving clients from Malaysia. This includes advice regarding the tax treaty between Malaysia and the Netherlands which provides for beneficial tax rates for both residents of Malaysia and the Netherlands when funds are repatriated back home.
Moreover, the uncertainty in the United Kingdom (UK) about the upcoming Brexit means that many companies that are now based in the UK will move their operations to mainland Europe, often to the Netherlands. Now more than ever, the Netherlands are the gateway to Europe.
We are looking forward to working together with Cheng & Co more closely in relation to Dutch clients that would like to invest in Malaysia as well as Malaysian companies that wish to set up operations in mainland Europe.
