Mr. Lam Kwai Soon, CA(M), FCCA, ACTIM, CFP, is a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of dedicated service at Cheng & Co Group of Companies. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as the Managing Director and Tax Managing Director.

Mr. Lam’s journey with Cheng & Co began as a Tax Manager. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was appointed as the Head of Taxation Services in 2009.

A member of both the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Mr. Lam’s academic credentials include an MBA from Twintech International University College of Technology, Malaysia. He is also a Certified Financial Planner, further enhancing his qualifications in financial management and planning.

With an in-depth understanding of the Malaysian Taxation System, Mr. Lam leads our team in providing consultancy services to clients across various domains. His areas of specialization include transfer pricing, organization restructuring, tax incentives, and merger & acquisitions (M&A), as well as handling tax audits and tax investigation cases.

Mr. Lam’s strategic guidance and comprehensive knowledge enable Cheng & Co Group to navigate complex tax landscapes effectively, ensuring optimal outcomes for our valued clients.

Ms. Tan Yi Shin, Head of Sales for the Financial Planning Division. She is joined Cheng & Co Group since June 2018 and been servicing under wealth management division for 7 years. She graduated from Bsc (Hons) Accounting & Finance.

She is also licensed holder of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) by FPAM, Authorized Unit Trust Consultant (UTC) & Private Retirement Scheme Consultant (PRC) by FIMM, Capital Market Service Representative License (CMSRL) by Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Approved Financial Adviser Representative (FAR) by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

She specializes in corporate advisory & investment on wealth management services, which includes customized investment planning, corporate cash management solution, corporate private retirement scheme , business risk insurance and business succession planning.

Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia

Dr. Chen Pelf Nyok is a freshwater turtle researcher specialising in the critically endangered river terrapin (Batagur affinis). In 2011, she co-founded the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia and launched a long-term, community-based terrapin conservation project in Terengganu, Malaysia.

Her work earned her the Commonwealth Point of Light award from the late Queen Elizabeth II. She is passionate about involving and empowering local communities, including a program that supports financial independence for women. Pelf is a member of the IUCN Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group and actively collaborates with others in turtle conservation.
