RMCD releases public ruling on issuance and holding of securities, 13 December 2017
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) has issued Public Ruling No. 04/2017 Issuance and Holding of Securities on 12 December 2017.
The PR clarifies the GST implication on the issuance and holding of shares, other financial instruments or securities.

RMCD releases revised Guide on warehousing scheme, 11 December 2017
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) has released the revised Guide on Warehousing Scheme (as at 11 December 2017).
The following change was made under the revised Guide:
- Paragraph 23 — Revised to state that warehouse goods which are to be exported should be declared using Custom No. 8 Form, instead of the Custom No. 2 Form.
The Guide on Warehousing Scheme (as at 11 December 2017) replaces the Guide on Warehousing Scheme (as at 15 June 2017).

RMCD releases public ruling on gift rules, 07 December 2017
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) has issued Public Ruling No. 03/2017 Gift Rules on 1 December 2017.
The PR clarifies the GST treatment on gift rules. The following DG Decisions have been withdrawn and replaced with the issuance of this PR:
- Item 4, Director General’s Decision 2/2014
- Item 2, Director General’s Decision 1/2015, and
- Item 5, Director General’s Decision 5/2015.
