Mr. Lam Kwai Soon, CA(M), FCCA, ACTIM, CFP, is a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of dedicated service at Cheng & Co Group of Companies. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as the COO and Tax Managing Director.

Mr. Lam’s journey with Cheng & Co began as a Tax Manager. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was appointed as the Head of Taxation Services in 2009.

A member of both the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Mr. Lam’s academic credentials include an MBA from Twintech International University College of Technology, Malaysia. He is also a Certified Financial Planner, further enhancing his qualifications in financial management and planning.

With an in-depth understanding of the Malaysian Taxation System, Mr. Lam leads our team in providing consultancy services to clients across various domains. His areas of specialization include transfer pricing, organization restructuring, tax incentives, and merger & acquisitions (M&A), as well as handling tax audits and tax investigation cases.

Mr. Lam’s strategic guidance and comprehensive knowledge enable Cheng & Co Group to navigate complex tax landscapes effectively, ensuring optimal outcomes for our valued clients.

Mr. Samuel Tiew Sze Hann
Head of Corporate Secretarial Services, Cheng & Co Group

Mr. Tiew Sze Hann (Samuel) is Chief Company Secretary of Cheng & Co Group. He is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall corporate secretarial services activities of the Company. He obtained an Advance Diploma in Commerce (Business Management) in 2001. He is also an Associate Member of the Malaysia Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (“MAICSA”) since 2006. In year 2019, he obtained a double Fellowship from Meinders School of Busines at Oklahoma City University and MAICSA.

He acquired more than 22 years of experience in Malaysia secretarial practices and is an expert in the following area:

  • Corporate Re-structing and Advisory;
  • Dead-Lock situation solution to Board of Directors / Shareholders;
  • To oversee the election procedure for Society;
  • Attending Annual General Meeting for Company and Society;
  • Bonus issue, right issue and preference share exercise etc; and
  • Liquidation by Members Voluntary winding up;

He assumed his present position as the Group’s Head of Corporate Secretarial Services in 2018.
