Mr Tom Wong Khai Meng
CEO of Cheng & Co Group
Mr Tom Wong is the CEO of Cheng & Co Group of Companies. He has been with the Group for almost two decades. Mr Wong began his career in the Cheng & Co Group as a Branch Manager in our Batu Pahat Office, wherehe excelled managing in the branch operations and spearheading its business development effort. In 2010, he became COO of the Group, and, later promoted to CEO in 2020.
Apart from the Group, Mr Wong is also a board member of YGL Convergence Berhad. He is also a Certified Financial Planner.
Mr Selvanathan
Pre-Borrowing Health Check Facilitator
Mr Selvanathan is a Pre-Borrowing Health Check Facilitator. He works with Cheng & Co Group of Companies to assist our clients doing health checks on their credit health in order to help them better prepare for financing applications.
Prior to this role, Mr Selvanathan had also served the Group as Finance Director and Head of Credit Control. He had worked in the Malaysian commercial banking industry for three decades in managerial and executive capacity in various areas, including banking operations, credit, marketing, and business development. He was also a trainer for Insitut Bank-Bank Malaysia, now known as Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers, and other organisations.
Mr Selvanathan holds professional qualifications in banking and company secretaryship from the U.K., and an MBA from University of Hull.

Mr Lam Kwai Soon
Tax Managing Director in Cheng & Co Group
Mr Lam Kwai Soon is the Tax Managing Director in Cheng & Co Group of Companies. He has been with the Group for almost two decades. He began his illustrious career in the Group as a Tax Manager, and later became Head of Taxation Services in 2009.
Mr Lam is a a member of MIA since 2002. He is also a member of ACCA. He holds an MBA from Twintech International University College of Technology, Malaysia. In addition, Mr Lam is also Certified Financial Planner.
