Malaysia’s Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) has confirmed the expansion of the HRD levy exemption for new registrants.
Employers of the new sectors are now given an exemption of HRD levy for three months starting from 1 March 2021 under the PSMB Act 2001. With this expansion, all industries are covered under HRDF’s training except for Federal & State Government, as well as NGOs involved in social welfare activities.
HRDF’s registered employers will get to utilise various offerings in relevance of training and accordance with market requirements amongst other assistances which include the opportunities to apply contributions and special funds from the government.
The expansion is a crucial step towards the overall development of Malaysia’s human capital.
