In line with our commitment to contribute to society, Cheng & Co Foundation together with Stewart Beck, the co-founder of Hungry Harimau, co-organised the Hungry Harimau series of Invitational Golf tournaments in 2019. The event was initially designed to encourage people from around the world to participate in diverse charity golf events. Furthermore, people also built new connections, friendships and camaraderie among each other.
For the second consecutive year, Cheng & Co Foundation organised the 2nd Hungry Harimau Invitational from 1st – 4th December 2019 and the event successfully raised RM90,000 which was donated to SPOT and Yayasan Chow Kit.
These two organisations were chosen for two fundamental reasons. SPOT emphasises on encouraging fundraising for puberty education which educates female youth to understand their body, increase their knowledge in protecting themselves, and encourage them to become well-rounded individuals that can drive the nation forward in the future.
On the other hand, Yayasan Chow Kit aims to aid underprivileged children to have better living conditions.
Moving forward, Cheng & Co Foundation hopes to assist more charity organisations and causes to help improve lives and drive nation building via the Hungry Harimau Invitational Golf tournaments.
We would like to thank our valuable sponsors for helping us make many dreams come true through this charity initiative:
Much appreciation goes out to Eugene Choo, Scorer of Golf Tournament for his efforts to ensure the successful organising of the Hungry Harimau Invitational Golf tournaments.
