Cheng & Co Risk Management (CCRM) recently organised an event for GIVI ASIA, supported by Lonpac Insurance Berhad at GIVI’s headquarters in Bukit Beruntung, Selangor on 22 May 2017. The objective of this event is to mark the partnership between all three parties with GIVI taking up the Lonpac Group Medical plan, a COMBO of Group Hospital and Surgical (GHS), and Group MediSecure Plus (GMSP) as part of their employee benefit scheme. CCRM, on the other hand, acts as the agent to manage GIVI’s medical needs.
CCRM’s Chief Executive Officer Ng Chee Yong was the MC for the day, headlined by a lunch buffet sponsored by CCRM for nearly 200 GIVI employees and the onboarding process with all staff that were present. GIVI is an established and reputable manufacturer of GIVI boxes, helmets and accessories for the local and international markets. They’ve been in business for more than 20 years in Asia and have been involved in the premier motorcycle racing world championship, MotoGP, for 15 years.
With this COMBO plan, employees of GIVI will gain a portability feature which allows them to continue enjoying the medical coverage after retirement. For GIVI, this plan helps manage their long-term costs for health care due to its high annual limit because the COMBO plan consists two elements – GHS and Individual GMSP.
The purpose of the GHS is to handle small medical claims, whereas the GMSP will manage higher or very high medical claims without over-utilising the GHS’ annual limit. This ensures that the annual medical claim per employee doesn’t exceed the limit of the GHS, preventing its costs of annual premiums from escalating.
The day ended with everyone going home happy, particularly with the Group Medical COMBO Plan that crucially secures their long-term care.
