The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) held another Public Practice Programme (PPP) on 5 and 6 December, 2016 at Hotel Armada in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Nearly 100 participants benefitted immensely from this two-day strategic initiative aimed at developing quality public practitioners and helping them achieve long-term success. The PPP 2016 is also mandatory for those planning to apply for a practicing certificate.
The programme is structured as a common platform for competency self-assessment and encourages public practitioners to engage in continuous learning that will help bridge the competency gap and get enlightened with new demands of the profession. The PPP 2016 also acts as a practical guide for practitioners to set up and manage a practise and, help them acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful.
Cheng & Co’s Managing Partner Professor Dato’ Dr Chua Hock Hoo was among the speakers on day two of the PPP 2016 that featured insightful presentations on topics such as Strategic Planning and Practice Management, Marketing Strategies, Technology Management and Continuation/ Succession Planning. Cheng & Co’s Director Alex Kang also took the stage with a Balanced Scorecard workshop that turned out to be a lively and highly interactive session.
