More than 50 Small & Medium Practices (SMP) from the ASEAN region were given insights into Cheng & Co’s impressive growth story by the firm’s Managing Partner Professor Dato’ Dr Chua Hock Hoo at the ASEAN Regional Small & Medium Practices (SMP) Conference in Bangkok, Thailand on 20th October 2016. A vast majority of accountancy practices worldwide are made up of SMPs and their continuous growth and development is critical to the accounting profession.
Dato’ Dr Chua’s presentation of The Way Forward, which illustrates Cheng & Co’s remarkable feat of expanding from a humble accounting practise into an international firm, providing a full range of innovative professional business services, served as an eye-opener for participants. The Way Forward also presents a great narration for participants on the importance of taking full advantage of business expansion opportunities as they materialise, be it locally or regionally.
The event was also attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Dr Nurmazilah Dato’ Mahzan, who will be one of the guests of honour at Cheng & Co Foundation’s Leadership Graduation Day on 02 November, 2016.
