A significant event took place on 20, July 2016 when Cheng & Co Group signed a deal to conclude the launching of our third client’s IPO in Taiwan. The signing took place in the presence of Taiwanese firm SinoPac Securities, who is our underwriting partner in Taiwan. Besides underwriting, SinoPac Securities – with 53 branch offices in Taiwan – also engages in brokerage services and proprietary trading.
At the signing ceremony, Cheng & Co was represented by Managing Partner Professor Dato’ Dr Chua Hock Hoo and Deputy Managing Partner Mr Tan Wae Leng, while SinoPac Securities was represented by the company’s Vice President Will Lin and Senior Manager Allen Lee.
This signing also signifies Cheng & Co’s third IPO deal in collaboration with SinoPac Securities, and serves to encourage more Malaysian companies to consider Taiwan as a fundraising platform.
During the event, SinoPac Securities shared some insights on the exciting prospects of listing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. This has created a buzz among our clients who were present at the ceremony and many are now looking to explore this option.
